Dr. Jeffrey Hamre Re-Appointed to Osteopathic Examination Board
Obstetrician and Gynecologist Jeffrey Hamre, DO, FACOG has received re-appointment to the Board of Osteopathic Examination as a Representative of Osteopathic Physicians for a term lasting through June of 2021. He initially was appointed to the Board and as its President in April of 2012. In this role, Dr. Hamre represented the Tennessee Board at the annual Federation of State Medical Boards in 2014 and 2016.
This Board is responsible for safeguarding the health, safety, and welfare of Tennesseans, by requiring that all who practice osteopathic medicine within this state are qualified.
In a letter to Dr. Hamre from Governor Bill Haslam, he said, “In the thorough, aggressive search for candidates, your individual characteristics and professional qualifications were exceptional among the number of nominees. Thank you for your willingness to serve your fellow citizens of Tennessee in this way.”
Dr. Hamre began practicing obstetrics and gynecology in 2000, and has been with Premier Medical Group for more than 12 years. He also serves as Vice President of the Premier Board of Directors and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
