Simple Tips to Stay Well This Winter
Softly falling snow, snuggly sweaters, hot cocoa overload…these are just a few of the wonderful things winter brings us. However, the onset of winter also means that cold and flu season is officially here.
Check out these 3 simple tips for staying well this winter!
1) Move more!
While it may be tempting to curl up with a blanket and your favorite TV show every evening, your body will thank you for moving this winter. Even 30 minutes of moderate exercise three times a week can do wonders for your health and your mood!
2) Pack your own pen.
Cold and flu germs are easily passed via hand-to-hand contact. Avoid touching public objects when possible. This can be accomplished with just a little extra effort. For example, take your own pen to use when you tip the waiter the next time you are out to eat, utilize the antibacterial wipes provided by many grocery stores to disinfect your shopping cart, etc.
3) Wash your hands.
We know – you hear this same piece of advice over and over, but that is because it is true! Be sure to wash your hands often throughout the day, especially before eating or putting your hands near your face. Consider keeping a package of hand sanitizer near you to make this preventative health chore even more convenient!
