What inspires you to do your job?
I strive to put parents at ease, while gaining their trust as well as that of their children. Nothing makes me happier than making patients laugh and become comfortable with me, as I watch them grow and experience milestones. I am so grateful to have come full circle and now be working in the office I grew up in. Visiting Dr. Prine used to be one of my favorite things to do as a child! My mom always had full faith in him, and I aspire to have that type of relationship with all of my patients and their families.
Professional Interests
Nutrition and exercise, preventive care, adolescent medicine.
Personal Interests
I love to run, read, attend the small country church I was raised in, and spend time on the farm I grew up on. Having been away from home for 15 years, nothing is more important to me or makes me happier than being with my family.
I have a wonderful husband named Amerson who makes me laugh daily and three beautiful children. Sadie Kate, 9 years old, plays piano and softball and is smart, tenacious and inquisitive; Tucker, 7, enjoys baseball and old cars, and is a biking phenom; Their 4 year old sassy, bossy little sister, Reese likes dolls and playing house.
Fun Fact
I love fresh sweet corn from my daddy’s garden. I love to laugh.
I was the state champion in the mile and half mile my senior year of high school (go Montgomery Central!), and went on to run varsity track during my four years at Yale.
